I'd like to join. Daisuke is my favorite character. Shocked that he isn't more popular since i'm so used to seeing leaders/main characters being the most popular.
It's because too many people were so busy deciding that his couple of immature actions at the start of the show defined his entire personality, to see how much he grows over time, and the great character he becomes.
I agree with you Tripnessa... They forgot how are they when they was children ¬¬U... Daisuke is the best character because he are the most "human" and "imperfect" of all, for that concept I love him. You can see you in his mistakes and troubles and happiness moments. And he is the character that madure more than others characters. At the beginning he are completely "noob" but at least he becomes a great leader and for him, the rest of his team of friends we can defeat venommyostismon... But th "fans" from digimon 02 quickly forgets this point... u.u I think characters like Takeru doesn't add much to our learning as individuals. He is a very "flat" and "perfect", so much "perfect" ant te season 2... I love the Takeru from digimon 01... But these 02 seems like superhero whitout defects... And at the real life it's impossible a perfect person like him. For these reaseon Daisuke are best! ^^ We love you as you, Daisuke! 
It's so great to find an active group that sees Daisuke for who he truly is! I totally agree with everything you said ^_^
